The Great Jack O'Lantern Blaze, held annually at the Van Cortlandt Manor in Croton-on-hudson&beds=0&baths=0&min=0&max=100000000&map=0&quick=1&submit=Search" title="Search Properties in Croton-on-hudson">Croton-on-hudson, N.Y., still has tickets available from October 21st (Halloween night!) through the final dates: November 2, 3, 4, 9, 10 and 11. All dates beforehand are sold out.
As of this writing, Halloween night still has openings at all times. The following weekend (Nov 2-4) is sold out except for the final 1 or 2 starting times each night. The final weekend (Nov. 9-11) still has tickets available for almost every time, but I'm sure that won't last, so if you want to see the Blaze this year make sure to get over to hudsonvalley.org and get your tickets!
Unfortunately the checkout process isn't the most user-friendly, but it's worth the hassle. If you don't already know, the Blaze is a walk through the woods with thousands of hand-carved (some real and some fake) pumpkins, many elaborately set-up and all with lights inside. It is a site to behold and something you may not be able to see anywhere else!
If you're wondering whether or not to go, just do it! You won't regret it. Tickets during the week are $16 for adults and $12 for kids 3-17, prices go up $4 for each on Saturdays. Kids under 3 are free.
I’ve been working in the real estate business since 1983. I started as a Senior Account Executive for a real estate investment banker with offices in New York City and Salt Lake City. I left that firm in 1990 when the offices consolidated in Utah – (actually they left me!).
Since I already had a salesperson’s license I decided to stay local and went to work at Albert P. Schatz Realtors in Ossining, selling residential properties. That was in 1990, and I’ve been there happily ever since. I love my work, and am now working with the 2nd and 3rd generation of the Schatz family.
Prior to my involvement with real estate, I was the co-owner, with my artist husband, of a successful graphic design firm in New York City.
I am the proud mom of 1 daughter who lives in Texas with her family, and 1 son who lives in Massachusetts with his family. My grandchildren total 3 – 2 grandsons and 1 granddaughter.
I enjoy traveling, both in the US and Europe (so far), sing in a choir, and have been a table tennis player since my childhood in South Bend, Indiana (where at age 18 I was Indiana State Women’s Champion). I still play for fun.
